また、わたしが悪人に『あなたは必ず死ぬ』と言っても、

もし彼がその罪を離れ、公道と正義とを行うならば、

すなわちその悪人が質物を返し、

奪った物をもどし、

命の定めに歩み、悪を行わないならば、

彼は必ず生きる。

決して死なない。

And if I say to a wicked person, ‘You will surely die,’

but they then turn away from their sin and do what is just and right

— if they give back what they took in pledge for a loan,

return what they have stolen,

follow the decrees that give life,and do no evil

—that person will surely live;

they will not die.

再者，我对恶人说：

『你必定死亡！』

他若转离他的罪，

行正直与合理的事：

还人的当头和所抢夺的，

遵行生命的律例，

不作罪孽，他必定存活，不致死亡。
